I am delighted and honored to be appointed as the Ambassador of the Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancer Registry. I hope that I can enhance public awareness of hereditary colorectal cancer.
You may already know that colorectal cancer is the second killer of the kind in Hong Kong, with a considerable proportion of the disease caused by hereditary predisposition. The Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancer Registry’s mission is to prevent colorectal cancer in high-risk families in Hong Kong through early detection, timely treatment, education and ongoing research.
The operation of the Registry relies on research funding and donations, so I sincerely invite you to join my efforts to support the Registry’s upcoming fundraising activities, and to spread the message of hope to the Registry’s members and families.
